PIPELINE AND FACILITIES ENGINEERING
Our engineering team is world class. We have over 45 full-time engineers. Our senior-discipline leads with a strong industry track record are supported by an experienced team, equipped with the latest design tools.
The team is currently working on a number of world-renowned projects.
The pipeline engineering team is executing complex analysis, including on-bottom roughness and multi-span fatigue analysis using Abaqus. The team has also developed easy-to-use bespoke pipeline survey data-analysis software that allows for the efficient identification and resolution of problems in the future
Our geotechnical team is assessing geohazards for pipeline routing and designing rock berms for crossing supports and pipeline stability.
The piping and civils team within our facilities group has developed a state-of-the-art concrete pipe support repair method used while jacking up a live pipeline.
The full team has performed over 8,000 document reviews in the last two years as part of a deep-water development review and approval of detailed design & engineering scope.
Recent projects include:
Nord Stream 2 Line A and B 48” gas transmission pipeline as-laid design checks
Analysis of over 2,400km of in-service pipeline survey data – the longest offshore pipeline in the world – to ensure the pipeline was integrally sound
The work was completed within six weeks of receipt of survey data including verification by an IVB.

ONGC 98/2 deep water 26 well subsea development
Technical assurance on all technical documentation related to the subsea production system and SURF (BHGE and McDermott) and FPSO (SPBAG).
Over 8,000 documents were reviewed within a 10 working day review cycle.

Providence Barryroe discovery
Concept-FEED level study to refresh a previous early production system concept. This incorporated revised production profiles and a new constraint on export of gas.
Study also addressed a gas-only case which Included gas to power and export power cable.
